About the author
A twelve-year-old storyteller with an old soul
Lavinia Pearl is a twelve-year-old, homeschooled Christian author with a deep love for storytelling and a gift for weaving imaginative, character-driven tales. Having lived in both the United Kingdom and the United States, she now resides in Upstate New York with her family.
Her writing is shaped by a love of history, faith, and classic literature, often exploring themes of courage, sacrifice, and enduring hope. From an early age, Lavinia has been drawn to stories that carry both beauty and meaning, and she seeks to create works that reflect those same qualities.
As the oldest of four children, Lavinia loves sharing stories with her three younger siblings. Their laughter, questions, and eager requests for “one more chapter” have made storytime one of the best parts of her day.
Whether she is reading aloud, inventing new adventures at the kitchen table, or writing her Garry the Glasses picture books, she creates them with young readers like her own brothers and sisters in mind — curious, kind, and ready for wonder.
